NOCTI Commercial Art Practice Test

The main idea is that your portfolio is the strongest evidence of your artistic ability in an art college interview. It directly showcases what you can do—your technique, range of media, creativity, and how you develop ideas—giving the interviewers a concrete sense of your skill and potential. While a resume, transcript, or letters of recommendation provide useful background, they don’t demonstrate your artwork as clearly or as compellingly as a well-curated portfolio. Preparing it with attention to quality, presentation, and a logical sequence helps you present your best work and your creative process to the admissions team.
